Michael Dean Bass, 46, of Wytheville, Va., died Thursday, September 2, 2010. Memorial service will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel.

Fletcher Lee Cale, age 67, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. Mr. Cale was born in Smyth County to the late Charlie & Bertha Cale and was preceded in death by a son Kevin Cale and a brother Clarence Cale.

Lois Ceary Johnson, 86, of Cripple Creek, Va., slipped into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loving children on Saturday, September 4, 2010. She was born in Cripple Creek, Va. on May 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Claude and Clyde Jordan Moore.

Albirta Snow Lootens, 91, of Wytheville, Va., passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Daisy Bradley Snow.

Pauline Elizabeth Mantz Morehead, 91, of Austinville, Va., passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Carrington Place, Wytheville. Mrs. Morehead was born August 7, 1919, in Ivanhoe, Va., the daughter of the late Edward and Hattie Nixon Mantz.

Mrs. Louise Moore Padgett, of Fincastle, Va., formerly of Wytheville, Va., went to her eternal home on September 2, 2010, at the age of 92. She was born in Rustburg, Va. on October 19, 1917, the oldest child of the late Charlie Daniel and Lutie Kate Reynolds Moore.

Clora Desser Overbay Robinette, age 94, went to heaven on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by her family. She was born April 28, 1916 in Atkins, Virginia to June and Callie Overbay.

Farrell Cline Vernon, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at his Home in Marion, Virginia. He was born in Smyth County, Virginia on May 17, 1933 to the late Robert Lee Vernon & Willie Jane Hopkins Vernon.

Lola Cole Wymer, age 91, widow of Floyd Sidney Wymer, died Sunday, September 05, 2010 in Wythe County Community Hospital. Survivors and Funeral Arrangements will be announced later by Seaver-Brown Funeral Service.
